no. anyone who has created an sfpix member account can look at anything in the archive. there are special features which are available only to those who have supported the site with a paid subscription, including the ability to make your own collection of favorite pix and direct links to the newest pix in the archives. you can read about becoming a subscriber at http://sfpix.net/subscribe/.

questions about the pix

where do you get all of these pix?

people send them to me, or i get them from newsgroups or mailing lists.

i spotted one that shouldn't be there. could you remove it?

yes, of course; please let me know right away. please be precise about which photo it is. "the one of the bearded guy in the woods" isn't very helpful in locating it.

i'm sorry if a photo makes it onto the site which wasn't meant for public consumption. unfortunately, by the time it gets to me, it's probably all over the internet already.

who is the third guy from the left in 1643atoua8ou.jpg?

i'm sorry, but i have no idea. unless there's contact information with the photos (as in the galleries), i don't know who the people in them are, nor how you can contact them.

i have some photos to contribute to the site. how can i add them?

please email them to me.

i'd like to add a gallery with photos of myself. how do i do that?

if you're an older man and would like to have a gallery with many photos of yourself, email your photos and what you want to say about yourself to me.

questions about the silverfox mailing list

aren't sfpix.net and the silverfox mailing list the same thing?

no. sfpix.net began its life as a place for members of the silverfox list to share photos, so people wouldn't email photos to the list. they have no connection beyond this. i have nothing to do with running the silverfox list, and the silverfox list maintainer has nothing to do with running sfpix.net.

i'm a member of the silverfox list. why can't i view the pix?

i assume it's because you haven't created an sfpix.net account for yourself. subscribing to the silverfox list has nothing to do with creating an sfpix.net username and password.

i'm getting a lot of mail from the silverfox list. can you make it stop?

no. again, i have nothing to do with running the silverfox list.

please see the frequently asked questions before asking any of your own. thanks.   the archives are supported entirely by members who choose to become paid subscribers. if you want to ensure their continued existence, information on how you can become a subscriber is available here.
